About Vibe Gardener
A garden project that became an AI experiment.
We’re Mark and Helen. We wanted to rethink our back garden, and realised that AI could help with far more than making attractive mockups—if we were prepared to challenge it and show the messy parts too.
Why publish it?
Because the gap between inspiration and action is where people get stuck.
Social feeds are full of reveals. AI feeds are full of instant answers. We want to show the reasoning, checking and course corrections that make an ambitious garden idea genuinely useful.
It is personal
This is our home and our money. That makes the reality checks more meaningful than a hypothetical design exercise.
It is practical
Plans, prompts, planting guides, photos and decisions can help someone else think through their own project.
It is an experiment
We do not know in advance where AI will save time, create confusion or inspire a tool worth building.
The name
Plan it. Prompt it. Plant it.
Vibe Gardener borrows the spirit of vibe coding: using AI to make progress in a domain where you are not the expert. The difference is that soil, weather, dimensions and budgets cannot be prompted away.
